Peter Imrich, head of the Materials Science & Simulation team at KAI was invited to present a keynote lecture at the User Meeting 2026 of the European Synchrotron Research Facility (ESRF) on 2.–4. February 2026 in Grenoble, France. The presentation highlighted the potential of advanced characterization techniques enabled by synchrotrons like the ESRF to gain a deeper understanding of microelectronics materials and devices, including submicron lateral resolution and nanosecond time resolution. This research was made possible by the Horizon Europe project AddMorePower and the Austrian national projects MULTICHARM and ARCADE.
During his stay he further had the opportunity to meet with researchers from around the globe to discuss current and future research opportunities as well as visit the beamlines used within the projects.
